Do I need to bring my own linens?

OPCRC has twin beds and we recommend guests bring their own linens or sleeping bag and pillow(s). That said, we do have a limited number of linens available for rent. Our linen service includes: (1) fitted sheet, (1) top sheet, (1) blanket, (1) pillow w/ case, (1) bath towel, (1) hand towel, and (1) wash cloth.

What is the weather like?

The weather here can be rather unpredictable. Our Summer temperatures range from the low 60’s to mid 70’s while our Spring and Fall temperatures will range from the upper 40’s to low 60’s with our Winter temperatures between the upper 30’s and low 50’s. In addition, our non-summer seasons can produce mild to severe winds as well as rain. Please pack accordingly.

Is there cellular phone service at OPCRC?

We have decent cell service through Verizon, AT&T and US Cellular. Other services are spotty at best.

Is there WiFi available for guests?

Realizing that we are a place set apart and place where people come to interact with one another in a variety of ways, OPCRC is proud to offer a robust WiFi network which is available to our guests as desired. Our WiFi service is available to all guests at no cost, but can be limited if the group leadership and/or nature of the retreat requires it.

Can we do our own cooking?

Most of our lodges provide full household kitchens available for your group to cook and have snacks on its own. The kitchens are fully stocked to accommodate the maximum number of guests of the facility.

Does camp provide food service?

We have a fully staffed food service option for groups of 20 or more participants. We would be delighted to cook, serve and clean up after your meals so that you can relax and retreat.

What about special diets?

We strive to meet the ongoing demands for special diets and dietary intolerances. We currently are able to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free. If your diet falls outside of this, please contact us so we can best meet or supplement your needs.

How big is the OPCRC Property?

OPCRC is 100 acres with the property extending from Vernon Ave all the way to Mean High Tide at the beach.

Can I bring my pet(s)?

With advanced notice and a Pet Deposit, we allow dogs only in certain areas and buildings of camp. Service Dogs are allowed in additional facilities, but we ask that you give us prior notice of a service dog so we can plan and prepare accordingly.

Who can rent space at OPCRC?

We are a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. We serve a variety of groups including: religious, youth serving, family focussed and other not for profit organizations. In addition we host family based groups for weddings or reunions. 

What is there to do in the area?

Ocean Park and Long Beach boast a variety of restaurants shops of all flavors. For those looking for an adventure, there are a couple of hikes in the Cape Disappointment State Park, two of which end at beautiful lighthouses. There is the Discovery Trail which goes from Long Beach south to Cape Disappointment State Park as well as a couple of horse riding on the beach options.
